CUE center for missing persons

June 4th I was honored to perform alongside some very talented people at a benefit concert for the CUE center in rodeo city music hall. I was so taken aback at the number of missing people there are ( there were pictures of the missing people hung along the wall of the theatre.) my heart truly goes out to the families of missing loved ones. I personally had a family member go missing for two weeks, I can only imagine what the family of Lisa Stone ( who has been missing for two years, for example) goes through daily. Thank you miss Tammy and everyone else involved in the event! Jason Castro was the headline performer and was kind enough to take a picture with me!

Colonial Pro-ams

May 20th I volunteered at the Colonial Pro-am golf tournament, and it was a blast!! I greeted the amateur players as they entered the dinner tent, and helped run the game that they played to pick the pro-golfer they'd be playing with later. And then of course...after a long days work, who wouldn't hit up the dessert table?! Thanks to Shelli, Dan and Faith Bates, as well as the Colonial for allowing us to volunteer! Thanks to Jim Hanson for the wonderful pictures!

Little Miss Sweetheart Pageant

May 19th
I was honored to volunteer at the Little Miss Sweetheart Special Needs Pageant. I was a buddy to a 13 year old girl named Mia, who has Down Syndrome. Mia was super sweet and loved to give hugs, dance, and model on stage. The pure joy and ecstasy she had when she finished modeling each of her outfits was so awe- inspiring! And every girl was crowned Little Miss Sweetheart, so everybody won! Great concept, and they all enjoyed it! Thank you Malynn Bannister for creating this amazing pageant, and Ken Cater for inviting me!
Also, please take time to take the pledge against the r-word, I took it at the pageant, and urge you to as well.

Walk like MADD

Mothers Against Drunk Driving had a walk, and on April 21st I had the opportunity to staff the VIP Hospitality tent  that volunteers visited for refreshments and a quick break. The walk ended up raising 140,000 dollars to help hundreds of victims or drunk driving and their families. Loved meeting an talking to the volunteers! Thanks to MADD, and Miss Lynn James for involving me! The next Walk like MADD is at Ridgemar Mall in Tarrant County on October 13!
